safari-saves
overview

SafariSaves is a program dedicated to supporting conservation efforts across Africa. Every trip booked helps to fund these vital initiatives, preserving the rich biodiversity of Africa for current and future generations.

Lessons in
conservation

A youth-led organization striving to create a long-lasting platform that raises awareness about conservation in rural communities.

By exposing children to the beauty that remains within the landscapes of Africa, Lessons in Conservation hopes to create young ambassadors who will defend their heritage long into the future. It achieves this through conservation lessons in schools, arranging excursions into reserves and ultimately identifying exceptional students to assist with scholarships and employment.

THE METAPOPULATION
Initiative

Reversing the decline in the wild cheetah population in Africa through wildlife management and habitat expansion.

In the last century, wild cheetahs have undergone a dramatic reduction in geographic range and population size. Coordinating cheetah translocations between 75 participating reserves in 5 countries, the Metapopulation Initiative helps wildlife custodians manage cheetah populations while identifying new areas suitable for reintroductions.

Laureus Sport For Good

Laureus Sport for Good currently supports more than 300 programmes in over 40 countries and territories that use the power of sport to transform lives.

Founded in response to Nelson Mandela’s challenge, issued at the first Laureus World Sports Awards in Monaco in 2000, that “sport has the power to change the world”, their vision is to use sport as a powerful and cost-effective tool to help children and young people overcome violence, discrimination and disadvantage in their lives.

Family Legacy

At Family Legacy, our work is focused on one goal: glorifying God by serving the vulnerable and orphaned children of Zambia so they can live up to their God-given potential.

During a visit to South Africa in 1960 and having traveled through the British colonized nations in Africa, British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan gave a speech that set forth a ripple effect of independence throughout much of Africa. He prophetically said: “The wind of change is blowing through this continent” because he saw that all people succeed when the nation itself rises from within.

Family Legacy believes the winds of change are still blowing, evoked by the Holy Spirit and made possible through education for all. They believe that when you educate a child, you change the world. Whether that education lasts for years or days, it stays. No one can take it away. Empowering these children is God’s work; they are simply striving to be His hands and feet to encourage the wind to blow.
